Everyone knows the story on the Ford name and the importance of the first vehicles that Ford produced to the mass public. The Ford Model A was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A designated a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. This tidy little Tudor is in excellent shape and is ready for a cruise to the ice cream shop or enter it into your local car event and be confident in a ribbon or trophy. Spending the past 25 plus years in North Carolina, this remarkable car would be a great addition to anyone’s collection or first swing at a pre-war automobile. Vehicle was converted over to a 12volt system and brand new front headlights with hi and low beams were installed along with DuoLamps in the rear with functioning running lights and brake lights. Turn signals could easily be added at any time. Vehicle also features the rear luggage holder along with rear spare tire/wheel with cover. Alternator was also upgraded along with new battery in the past year. Radiator guard completes the iconic front end look. Newer tires were added about a year ago when the wheels were removed and painted along with the brake system redone by local mechanic. The interior of this car really is impressive with all new leather seats, new period correct carpeting, door panels and unique headliner. Previous customer had over $4k invested in the interior alone. All features are working properly and windows go down and up, dash light functions properly and it fires up quickly without any hesitation. Our local Model A guru gave this car two thumbs up and we had to pry him out of this one as he fell in love from the start. The market remains strong on these sweet Model A’s and highly original ones like this that are show ready are becoming harder to find.
