Rare 1931 GMC Panel truck. Used in the movie Annie. Documented since new! 1931 GMC ½ Ton T17 Panel Truck 40 HP. Split Head Factory Pontiac Six Cylinder   Originally purchased from General Truck Sales, Inc. of Peterson, New Jersey by Paramount Laundry Co. of Hackensack, New Jersey. The truck was repossessed Febuary 2, 1932 and resold to Birch & Birch of Dover New Jersey. George R. Boyd then purchased it on March 21st 1932 and used the truck to deliver flowers for many years. Mr. Boyd put it in a garage next to the old Randolph School House where lived sometime in the late 40’s. There it stayed until November 1975 when it was purchased in an auction sale by Larry Taylor for $2800. We have a copy of each title since the truck was purchased new in 1931 Also original manual and restoration receipts.   The tires where pumped up, the clutch was freed from rust and the valves were unstuck. It was started up and driven in the 1976 Morristown Bicentenial Parade.   At the end of 1976 it was taken apart and restored from the frame up which took 2 years in Taylors backyard garage.   Since the restoration, it has been driven in many parades and meets. It was used in the Movie Annie as a Ambulance we also have a photo of Carol Burnett on 06/1981 standing in front of the truck during filming. We also have the NY plates that where made for the truck for the movie. Truck runs great and overall in great shape. Paint shows where as it was restored in 1978.
